RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures
- Ensures all product quality specifications are met by inspecting samples from each lot for defects
- Communicates with employees to ensure that job functions are carried out with respect to quality
- Trains and observes employees while using measuring equipment, ensuring such equipment is in good condition and is being used properly
- Approves incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement verifications; rejecting unacceptable materials
- Approves in-process production by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement verifications; communicating rejection issues per SSI procedures
- Approves finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement verifications
- Documents inspection results by completing inspection reports and rejection documents as required. When products pass inspection, inspectors sign off on the work order/inspection documents
- Inspects assemblies for completeness and accuracy; perform final checks on completed products
REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to use hand-held tools and electronic devices to perform job duties, including micrometers, calipers, PI tapes, and electronic inspection equipment such as CMM and ROI comparator
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Skilled at verbal and written communication
- Basic ability with Microsoft Office (word processor and excel) and computer applications
- Experience in an ISO 9001:2015 manufacturing environment is a plus
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Sit [50%}, Stand [50%], Lift [up to 25lbs], Walk, Bend, Stoop, Reach, Push, & Pull, as well as Finger/Hand dexterity.
